Making a purchase online is simple. Just browse our online catalog and when you find a product that you would like to buy enter the quantity required in the "quantity" box and click the "add to basket" button. The selected products will be added to the virtual "shopping basket". If at any time you would like to check the contents of your shopping basket, click the "View Basket" button which is located at the top or bottom of each page. When you have finished making selections simply click the "Checkout" button which will take you to the checkout where you will be asked for your name, address and payment details. If you prefer, our sales staff will take an order over the telephone, call 0121 602 3332, Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm. We accept most major credit/debit cards to inclide Visa, Visa Debit/ Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Switch, Maestro, Solo and American Express. We also accept payment from PayPal members and we will also accept payment by cheque, however 7 working days must be allowed for clearance prior to dispatch. If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. | Shipping and handling :We make every effort to despatch within 48 working hours of order placement. Unless we state otherwise, i.e. the product is out of stock, we ensure that your products are delivered within 28 days from acceptance, subject to conditions outside of our control, in the UK. However, we endeavour to deliver your order within seven working days. Orders delivered outside of the UK will be delivered as soon as possible, however we cannot guarantee a specific time, due to external regulations and procedures of non UK authorities. You are given two methods of delivery, (International) Royal Mail or National Courier Service and both require a signature upon receipt. This may not apply in respect of deliveries outside of the UK. All deliveries will be made to you at the address specified by you in the order. We may, at our discretion and expense, deliver parts of your order separately, however you will be notified. Overseas deliveries must be signed for and you will be responsible for the products as soon as they are delivered. If we cannot deliver the products to you at the address you have specified for any reason (other than when we are at fault), we will notify you and the products will be stored. | Delivery schedule :Delivery is free in mainland Britain for all orders over £75 inc VAT. For orders below £75 we have a standard delivery charge of only £10.00 + VAT.Our standard delivery service is 3-7 working days dependent on stock availability. All of our products are delivered by courier between 8.30am and 5:30pm to an address of your choice. Please ensure someone is available to sign for the goods as they cannot be left without an authorised signature. We regret that if nobody is available at the premises we will have to make a charge for re-delivery. Please note that redelivery charges will be higher due to re-stocking and re-scheduling.
From the delivery paperwork, you will be able to identify and check the items you have ordered. It is vital that you contact us immediately to advise of any discrepancies. In the event of goods being received damaged we will replace them but only if the damage is recorded on the couriers paperwork or, the damage is reported to us within 24 hours. We will make every effort to deliver orders within the delivery option requested at the time the order was placed. However we cannot guarantee this and we will not accept responsibility if your order is delivered outside this time. | Back orders:In the event that your chosen product is out of stock you will be notified immediately. You may cancel your order at this point or we can place you chosen product on back-order for delivery in the future. Credits for cancelled items will be refunded directly to your credit card. If you have paid by cheque refunds will be made in Pounds Sterling only, you also have the option to keep the amount "on account" against future purchases. Credits against a cheque cannot be refunded against a credit card number. | Returns policy:Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive. All returns must be agreed with our Customer Services department in advance otherwise we regret that they will not be accepted. We also regret that surplus or incorrectly ordered items are likely to be subject to a re-stocking charge from the original supplier so please take the utmost care when ordering. Because all of our deliveries are supplied by courier, claims for shortages cannot be accepted unless notified immediately on delivery. In the event of goods being received damaged we will replace them but only if the damage is recorded on the couriers paperwork or, the damage is reported to us within 24 hours.
When returning goods please remember to include a copy of your receipt, or your name address and telephone number in order that we can credit you. As you will be responsible for any returned goods until they reach us, we do advise you to use recorded delivery to help you claim should the package be lost or damaged in transit. If you are returning an item because it is faulty, we will fund the cost of the carriage. This policy does not affect your statutory rights. | Tax charges:For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 15% VAT is added. | On-line security:All customers personal details are collected on our secure server. Our dedicated secure server and web site have been issued with a EV SSL Certificate - You will be transfered to our secure server once you proceed to the check out, this is noticed by the change in the URL the http changes to https, some browsers will change the url bar to green or yellow and you should also notice the golden padlock somewhere in your browser window. For your peace of mind and security, credit/debit card payments are handled directly by our payment service provider (PSP). We do not store your credit card details and do not see any of your credit card information. All information is passed directly to our (PSP) via their secure and encrypted server connections. Actinic Payments meets all current banking security standards including PCI DSS, which is now a requirement for all UK businesses to accept credit card and debit card payments. What is Extended Validation SSL? Extended Validation SSL Certificates give high-security Web browsers information to clearly identify a Web site’s organisational identity. All credit card orders are automatically authorised by the merchant services provider to ensure against fraud, irrespective of the amount. We also take payment by cheque, so you do not have to disclose any card details over the telephone or the Internet. We treat our customers privacy very seriously and do not disclose any information to any third parties except your address to suppliers delivering to you. | Remittance terms:Credit card sales are shipped as soon as items are ready to ship. Cheque sales will be shipped once the cheque has cleared into our bank account.
